What Are These Cards?

Welcome. I’m Erika Robinson, author of The Language of Lenormand.

 Lenormand is a 36 card system of divining. The Lenormand images are essentially archetypal, and reminiscent of the symbols read in tea leaves or coffee grounds for hundreds of years. Lenormand is direct, concise, and clear in its answers, so long as the questions asked of it are also this way.

Although they are indeed pictures on cardboard, Lenormand is in fact a word system, with a grammar structure and a narrative flow. Lenormand can accurately answer yes or no questions, but in the right hands, Lenormand can craft stories that guide, uplift, and encourage. This is how Lenormand has functioned in my life, and it is how I will use it with you.

Lenormand is not Tarot, of course, with its psychology, astrology, mythology, and theology woven throughout. Lenormand is its own marvelous method. It is simple enough to hum a tune, and it is elegant enough to sing an aria. It all depends on the questions asked, the skill of the reader, and the tacit agreement between reader and sitter to allow the Universe its place at the table so that a three way conversation can commence.
